Utter "blueberry" and the first thing that comes to most Malaysians' minds is blueberry cheesecake. Yes, the one made with blueberry jam. I don't know about you, but I don't find it all that appetizing. Tastes too artificial and sweet. Give me the real thing anytime.
So, lately I've been seeing lots of these "premium" fruits in the market. Before it was only apples, oranges, pears, grapes, bananas, papayas etc. But now I see among them raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and avocados. Naturally, this perked my attention. So, I bought myself each a pack of blueberries and strawberries.
I've used the strawberries to make these amazing muffins. I forgot to take photographs of them but I'll definitely make them again. As for the blueberries, I've used some for juices and the rest for this cake.
The recipe calls this a bread, but it's more like a cake actually. Very fluffy and moist cake. Tastes amazing with the fresh blueberries. And the lemon compliments it really well. Give it a go! I bought my blueberries at RM7 for a 125g pack.
