The first thing you'd probably notice about this blog is its unique name. Well I suppose it must be pretty obvious that Nikki Fok would be my name. And Spoon is a utensil shaped like a small bowl with an attached handle that we use to eat our food with.
Haha. Well all right, for most of us we use a fork and spoon to eat, so the term fork and spoon is pretty much an ubiquitous association to food. I have always, always loved food. A large portion of my money is spent on food (no, not shopping). And I have also a very, very sweet tooth. I'm totally a dessert person. Whenever I go to buffets, the first table I go to is the dessert table. So, I suppose that is what inspires the food I cook. The food I make are usually desserts, pastries, pies and generally sweet food. However, I do make savoury pies and quiches as well. Ah, I think it would be better to say I prefer baking rather than cooking on the stove top.
Anyway, I'm relatively new to cooking, only started to take up cooking as a hobby early this year. It sorta started after I found this recipe book of pies and quiches in my college library and decided to give it a try. Surprisingly they all turned out pretty well and soon I began to bake more and even tried several stove top recipes.
This blog serves to share with others the food I have attempted to cook (please do feel free to contact me for the recipe) and since by pure coincidence my surname also happens to be Fok (no, not f*ck), hence, Nikki Fok and Spoon.
