The Basic (But Delicious!) Egg Sandwich

Other than tuna sandwich, I think egg sandwich is one of the easiest to prepare. It takes only less than 10 minutes to get it done but can be very fulfilling at the same time. It is also low in fat and high in protein and fibre (that is if you use wholemeal bread and veggies). It also does not require any elaborate dressing or sauce to make it taste good. All you need is a dollop of tomato or chilli sauce and there you have a satisfying sandwich.

Ingredients

Two slices of your favourite bread (I used Gardenia Toast'em Raisin Oatmeal)
An egg
Butter
A slice of your preferred cheese
Tomato/chilli sauce

Method

1. Beat the egg in a bowl.
2. Heat up a pan and pour some oil onto it.
3. Fry the egg.
4. Butter up both slices of the bread.
5. Place your fried egg on top of one slice of bread,
6. Add your desired amount of tomato/chilli sauce.
7. Top it up with a slice of cheese.
8. Sandwich it with the second slice of bread.
9. Indulge.

Tip: If you like your bread to be a little toasted, you could let bread 'fry' on the pan for a little while after you're done with the egg. Remove it once it starts to brown.
